A must-see attraction with a colorful history, dedicated to bringing world-class art events to the Southwest Florida community. Within their restored, state-of-the-art facility, the Center presents a wide range of events to the public. IMAG History & Science Center
Offering fun for all ages to discover the wonders of science and history, providing a large open environment to explore over 60 hands-on exhibits. Feed a stingray, touch animals in the LIVE! Animal Encounter shows, and visit the Living Lab to see turtles, snakes, frogs, a bearded dragon, and much more! Gaze at the Florida native, and exotic fish in the 3,200-gallon aquarium built by Animal Planet’s Tanked and visit the original fort of Fort Myers in a one-of-a-kind 3D Virtual Reality experience. Younger visitors will enjoy the Mini Museum’s early childhood area.
Burroughs Home & Gardens
Step back in time to the year 1918 and learn about life in Fort Myers as it was more than a century ago. Built in 1901, this Georgian Revival style mansion was the scene of many high society parties of Fort Myers’ elite residents. The Burroughs Home & Gardens, located in the vibrant River District of downtown Fort Myers, is the only home of its time still standing in its original location and open to the public.
Florida Repertory Theatre
Performing in the Historic Arcade Theatre, Florida Rep produces a wide variety of award-winning comedies, dramas, and musicals, and brings more than 87,000 people to the Fort Myers River District annually. Florida Rep is the only theatre company of its caliber in Southwest Florida, and continues to make national headlines.

Cruise the Caloosahatchee right outside our doorstep to see the Edison & Ford Winter Estates, downtown Fort Myers, bird rookeries, mangroves, river islands and more. Sunset cruises, fishing charters and boat rentals are just some of the options that will appeal to both casual naturists and enthusiasts alike. Landlubbers will delight in a curated guided walking tour showcasing downtown Fort Myers historic landmarks. A Haunted History Tour is offered for the more adventurous.
Events Calendar
Downtown Fort Myers’ River District is home to a robust calendar of events such as the weekly farmers market and monthly music walks. A must do in our neighborhood social scene is the monthly Art Walk. Always on the First Friday, visit the many exciting galleries, exhibitions, and performances. Caloosa Sound Convention Center & Amphitheater
Meetings and events reimagined. The 40,000 square foot center will be home to numerous conventions, trade shows, meetings, consumer shows, sporting competitions and large events. Managed and contracted by Luminary Hotel & Co., meeting planners can expect five-star cuisine, state-of the-art technology and outstanding service in a modern, eco-friendly facility in a spectacular location. The adjacent park features an amphitheater that will be activated for both private and public events, with the flexibility for gatherings large and small.
